MAPPA Expo Highlights Major Anime Displays

MAPPA will celebrate its 15th anniversary with an exhibition featuring production materials and large-scale installations from 23 of the studio’s works. MAPPA EXPO 15th Anniversary will run at YURAKUCHO MUSEUM in Tokyo from September 16 through December 7, with some displays changing between the exhibition’s first and second periods.

The Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc area will present key animation drawings and the first public display of a life-size Bomb Devil figure. Attack on Titan The Final Season will be represented by production materials from its concluding chapters, original watercolor background art from the final hill scene, and an installation combining sculptures and projected imagery to recreate the Rumbling.

The JUJUTSU KAISEN displays will change during the event, beginning with Season 1 and JUJUTSU KAISEN 0 before shifting to the Hidden Inventory/Premature Death and Shibuya Incident arcs, as well as Season 3’s Culling Game Part 1. A separate Yuji Itadori: Circling Memories installation will combine a train carriage, battle footage, and a life-size figure of Yuji. MAPPA plans to take the exhibition to additional Japanese cities after the Tokyo engagement.

Palworld Online Mobile MMORPG Launching in 2026

Garena has announced Palworld Online, an officially licensed mobile MMORPG based on Pocketpair’s Palworld, for release in 2026. Garena will develop and publish the game while working with Pocketpair, adapting the original title’s open-world exploration, creature collection, survival crafting and base-building systems for a shared online world.

Players will be able to capture and raise Pals, establish shared settlements and automate production by assigning creatures to different tasks. The game will support cooperative activities such as boss encounters and exploration, alongside competitive PvP modes, while introducing a new setting, original story material and side stories created specifically for this version.

Palworld Online will use a touch-friendly interface with optional one-tap controls for construction, relocation and Pal management. Pocketpair CEO Takuro Mizobe said Garena’s experience with global publishing, localization and live mobile operations will help bring the licensed adaptation to players worldwide, although an exact launch date and detailed regional plans have not yet been announced.

Gundam Hathaway Sequel Arrives on Netflix August 31

Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway: The Sorcery of Nymph Circe will begin streaming on Netflix on August 31. The release brings the second film in the planned Gundam Hathaway trilogy to the platform following its Japanese theatrical debut on January 30 and its North American theatrical run in May.

An official Netflix trailer presents the film with an English dub, offering another viewing option for audiences outside Japan. The sequel continues Hathaway Noa’s conflict with the Earth Federation as his anti-government Mafty organization moves toward its next operation, while his relationships with Gigi Andalucia and Federation officer Kenneth Sleg become increasingly complicated.

Netflix’s release will make the film substantially easier to access after its limited theatrical distribution. The official announcement does not provide a complete territory list, however, so availability and language options may vary between regional Netflix catalogs.

Black Clover Ends With Volume 38

Black Clover’s 38th and final collected volume was released in Japan on August 4, completing Yuki Tabata’s long-running fantasy manga. The book contains the conclusion of Asta and Yuno’s battle against Lucius, following the serialization’s ending in the Spring 2026 issue of Jump GIGA.

Shueisha released Black Clover: Perfect Grimoire alongside the final volume. The official guidebook covers more than 250 characters and 400 spells, includes a character question-and-answer section with Tabata, and features an exclusive 15-page manga depicting Asta’s Wizard King coronation.

The simultaneous releases give readers both the collected conclusion and a final piece of new material from the creator. Shueisha has only confirmed the August 4 Japanese editions, and international publication plans for Volume 38 and Perfect Grimoire have not been announced.

The Dangers in My Heart Manga Nears Its End

Norio Sakurai’s The Dangers in My Heart will conclude in three more chapters, according to a notice published with Chapter 196. The romantic-comedy manga began in March 2018 and is set to finish with its previously announced 14th collected volume, bringing Kyotaro Ichikawa and Anna Yamada’s story to a close after more than eight years.

The series grew well beyond its original manga run, inspiring a television anime that premiered in 2023 and returned for a second season in January 2024. A light novel followed in September 2024, while a compilation film featuring additional material opened in Japan on February 13, 2026. A third anime season is scheduled to begin airing in 2027, allowing the screen adaptation to continue after the original manga ends.

Seven Seas Entertainment publishes The Dangers in My Heart in English in print and digital formats. The publisher has not yet announced its English release plans for the final two Japanese volumes.
